Andrew’s Obituary Andrew William Swart Andrew William Swart, 70, of Castle Hayne, died Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Liberty Commons Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 25, 1949 in Wilmington, NC, son of the Cornelis Swart and Annie Braak Swart. His sister, Margaret S. Harmon, and brother-in-law, Charles Leonard, preceded him in death. Andrew earned his degree from Miller Motte Business College in 1969. He appreciated starting his career with DePoortere Corp (at the time, Timme Corp) in 1970. From there, in 1985, he accepted a position with Instant Software, Inc. Andrew always shared his enthusiasm and enjoyment of working nearly 20 years with the owner and his fellow co-workers there. He is survived by his brother, Dirk C. Swart (Duean) of Castle Hayne, NC; two sisters, Gloria S. Leonard and Eleanor S. Davis (Gene), all of Rocky Point, NC; ten nieces and nephews, Emily Jividen (John), Kirk Nance (Lisa), Martin Swart (Lorie), Jennifer Thomas (J.T.), Dirk Swart, Jr., Ben C. Rowe, Gwen Leonard, Michael Davis (Molly), John Davis (Allison), and Patrick Davis (Casey); and seven great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2019, at Andrews Market Street Chapel with Rev. Jennifer Mathews officiating.
