Allen “Fudd” D. Martz, 73, of Berwick passed away at his residence on May 9, 2019. Surrounded by his loving family and friends, his spirit returned back to the father that gave it. He was born March 24, 1946 in Berwick, a son of the late Freas and Ann (Petroski) Martz. He graduated from Berwick High School class of 1964 and then joined the United States Army serving from 1965 until 1969. Allen retired from the Berwick Post Office where he was a rural letter carrier. Allen was a member of the NRA, American Legion Post 495, and Nescopeck Hunting and Rifle Club. Allen enjoyed hunting, gardening, farming, watching sports, and was an avid gun collector. Allen is survived by his wife the former Rosemary Yaron, whom he married August 22, 1975, two daughters; Michelle Reyes-Smith of Berwick, Danielle M. Craig of Lake Ariel, two grandchildren; Sienna and Jordan Smith, great-granddaughter Sunday Cordts, brother Lee Martz wife Karen of Berwick, and sister Carolyn Davis of Berwick. Services will be Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at Bethany United Methodist Church, 116 Summerhill Ave, Berwick, PA 18603, with his pastor, Rev. Stephen Portner officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the church.
