Tami’s Obituary Tami Christine McGinnis, 61, Springfield, Missouri was born April 3, 1958 to William J. and Elenore Charlotte (Schwarze) McGinnis in Manhattan, Kansas and departed this life April 25, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was a truck driver for 38 years, most of those driving a big rig. Tami loved dolphins, having a Jack and Coke, talking to her friends, going to casinos and driving a truck. Her son and grandson were the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents. Tami is survived by her son, Steven J. McGinnis, Phoenix, Arizona; grandson, Elijah McGinnis; brother, Clifford J. McGinnis and wife Kellie, Springfield, Missouri; sister, Tania Paulk and husband Bryan, London, England; stepdad, Rush Lantz and wife Dory, Gainsville, Virginia; a niece and nephews; as well as many other family and friends. Tami will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. Memorial services will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, Missouri.
