Reekee’s Obituary Funeral services for Elsie Marie “Reekee” Tarver, 83, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Dr. Gene Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. She passed away Saturday night, April 27, 2019, at Canton Oaks Nursing Home in Canton. Elsie Marie was born April 11, 1936, in Wills Point, the daughter of F.W. “Pick” Williams and Emma Mae Paschal Williams. She was raised in Wills Point and was a graduate from Canton High School. On September 7, 1960, she married Billy Ray Tarver in Canton. Reekee was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for Sears in Dallas, bookkeeper for Van Zandt Livestock, manager for Ranch Hand BBQ in Wills Point and retired in 1995, from Tammy’s Dress Shop in Wills Point. She lived in Dallas prior to moving to Wills Point 67 years ago. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, traveling and having fun with her family. Reekee was of the Methodist faith. Preceded in death by her parents, F.W. “Pick” and Emma Mae Williams; husband, Billy Ray Tarver on March 3, 2005 and a grandson, Chris Cox on August 15, 2017. Reekee is survived by her daughter, Tammy Cox & husband, Mike, of Wills Point; three grandchildren, Ryan Cox & wife, Andrea, of Flower Mound and Monique Cox, of Colleyville and four great-grandchildren, Sydney Cox, Kipton Cox, Parker Cox and Hayes Cox. Pallbearers: Eddie Deen, George Steven Wilcoxson, Tolvia Wilcoxson, Kerry Don Slaughter, Doug Greathouse and Ryan Cox Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Read More
