Janice Lea Russell, 72, of Waverly, MO, completed her journey on Earth, Saturday, April 27, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Waverly Christian Church with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Val Halla Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Born January 27, 1947, at Kelling Clinic in Waverly, she was the daughter of the late Jesse W. Russell and Edna Rea Russell. Janice lived in Waverly all of her life where she was a 1965 graduate of Santa Fe High School, and then a graduate of Lee Crawford Academy of Beauty School in Kansas City. Janice worked as a beautician at Fashion Lane Beauty Parlor in Waverly for many years, and retired due to health reasons and to care for her parents. She was a member of Waverly Christian Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Survivors include her sister, Sherry Yvette Cordray (Allan) of Waverly; an uncle, Billy Allen Russell (Helen) of Carthage, NY; an aunt, Adalee Moran of Waverly; as well as a host of cousins and friends.
