Nancy S. Scavetta, 95, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Staten Island surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put family first. She loved cooking and baking and her meatballs were the best, said her family. She also loved to bake cookies, especiallly Christmas cookies and loved spending holidays with the family. She regularly attended Amico’s Senior Citizens Center in Brooklyn, enjoying times with friends and was an avid Bingo player. Most of all, Nancy was a gentle and kind hearted woman who was loved by all and will truly be missed. She was the beloved wife of the late Julian, who passed away in 1999. Loving mother of Carolyn Sagnelli, Nancy Ambery and Julianne Angelico. Fond mother-in-law of Anthony Sagnelli and Frank Angelico. Dear sister of Richard Palmieri. Devoted grandmother of Anthony, Michael, Lisa, Tiffany, Robert and Taylor; and cherished great grandmother of Eva, Luke, Liliana, Mia, Michael and Frankie. She is also survived by her furry friend, Bentley. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019, at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd. (at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Blessing will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
