Dateline Haysville, Indiana. Mickey Dale “Mick” McAfoose, age 70, of Haysville, Indiana, passed away at 7:08 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019, at home. Mick was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, on July 1, 1948, to Harry Dale “Red” and Alice (McCaslin) McAfoose. He married Nancy Anderson on February 9, 1968. He was a 1966 graduate of Dayton High School in Dayton, Pennsylvania. He was a heavy equipment operator in the construction and coal industries. Mick enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with family, and in later years became an avid reader. Surviving are his wife, Nancy McAfoose, Haysville, IN, three children, Douglas (Trisha) McAfoose, Dubois, IN, Valerie McAfoose, Haysville, IN, and Raquel (Doug) Zoglman, Evanston, IN, eight grandchildren, Emma and Sara Hanebutt, and Mary Beth Zoglman, Jordan (Jessica) Kahle, Justin, Jace, and Jessica Kahle, and Cassie Hayworth, two sisters, Debbie (Don) Swartfager, and Patty (Bob) Swartfager, both of New Bethlehem, PA. Preceding him in death besides his parents are one infant brother and one grandson, Eric Bureau. Private services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 415 E. 6th St., Jasper, IN 47546 or Lincoln Heritage Public Library, 228 E. N. St., Chrisney, IN, 47611.
