Marcia L Medford 2019

Asheville-Marcia L. Medford, 56, of Asheville, passed away peacefully at the J.F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville, on April 27, 2019. Marcia was preceded in death by her father, Wiley Dockrey who passed in 2014 and her daughter’s father, Greg Medford who passed in 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Nicole Medford of Johnson City, TN; mother, Carolyn Dockrey; sister, Olga Dockrey (Brett Farmer); Hannah’s grandparents, Thad & Vanita Medford, all of Waynesville; and special friend, Linda Reed of Myrtle Beach, SC. Marcia was employed with Meridian Behavioral Health Services as a Peer Support Specialist and Trinity Episcopal Church. She loved flowers, was a wonderful seamstress, and was a very crafty, creative, and artistic lady. She will always be remembered as a sweet and caring soul who was devoted to helping others. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, May 2, 2019, in the Kern Auditorium at the Lake Junaluska near the pool with Reverend Patrick Womack officiating. In memory of Marcia, memorial are suggested to J.F. Keever Solace Center, 21 Belvedere Road, Asheville NC, 28803.
