Kathleen “Kathy”‘s Obituary Kathleen “Kathy” M. Rode, 54, of Jackson Township, died early Thursday morning, April 18, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Monroe Campus in Bartonsville. She was the husband of Randall “Randy” M. Rode with whom she shared 17 years of marriage. Born on December 13, 1964 in Hatboro, she was a daughter of Robert McGonigal of Tullahoma, TN and Valentine “Val” (Short) McGonigal of Stroudsburg. She lived in Monroe County for most of her life, and worked at the Bartonsville Truck Stop, Pocono Record and Cansentra Insurance. Kathy enjoyed making crafts, reading and watching NASCAR. In addition to her husband and parents, surviving are a daughter, Megan Weisbrod and husband Kyle of Jackson Township; grandson, Landon Weisbrod; sister, Patricia Sundberg of Cresco; two brothers, Michael McGonigal and wife Debra of Ada, MI and Daniel McGonigal and wife Alison of Bel Air, MD; mother in law, Carol Smith of Tannersville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother in law, Alin Sundberg in 2005. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg; with visitation beginning at 5:00PM followed by the funeral service at 6:00PM with Rev. Richard Czachor officiating. Cremation was private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Clark Funeral Home to help defray expenses. Read More
