Obituary for Juana Garcia Juana Garcia, 92, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Parker at Somerset in Somerset, New Jersey. Mrs. Garcia was born June 26, 1926 in Havana, Cuba to the late Donato and Justina (Marchante) Mirabal. In 1955, Juana immigrated and settle in Hoboken, NJ. She relocated to Union City and Freehold before settling in Somerset. Juana was one of twelve brothers and sisters. She was also known for her practical jokes and truly loved to sing and dance. She was a devoted wife, a loving grandmother, a caring grandma and a kind aunt and great aunt; she will be greatly missed. Mrs. Garcia is predeceased by her husband in 1997, Rene Garcia. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Garcia; her son, James and his wife Thea Garcia; her sister, Consuelo Noa and Arura and her husband Bob Alar; her grandsons, Even and Jesse Garcia; her niece, a nurse at Parker, who was always by her side, Mary Alar and a host of other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Gleason Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-6 PM with a memorial service beginning at 5:45 P.M.
