John Edward Wall III August 7 1938 April 27 2019 (age 80)

John E. Wall, III, age 80, of Lake Butler passed away with his family by his side on April 27, 2019. He was born in Lake City on August 7, 1938 to John E. Wall, Jr. and Hazel Hoffman Wall. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was in the insurance business in Lake City and Union County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake City and the First Baptist Church of Lake Butler. He loved his family and his church and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his father, J.E. Wall, Jr.; his wife of 36 years, Shirley Landan Wall; one son, Dana Leon Wall; and one sister, Rebecca Ann Wall. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Ruth Micelli Wall; his mother, Hazel H. Wall; brothers, Wayne M. Wall, Michael A. Wall and Stephen H. Wall; sister, Wanda W. Clifford; two sons, John E. Wall, IV and Gregory D. Wall; grandsons, Vincent Wall, Yanke Wall and Kelly Brown; granddaughters, Minnie Broughton and Divine L. Potts; and seven great grandchildren. A service to honor John will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 3pm at the First Baptist Church of Lake Butler. Family will receive friends beginning at 2pm (one hour prior to service). Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in Lake City. Services will be officiated by Pastor Jason Johns. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in John’s memory.
