James Darrell Shepherd February 5 1950 April 29 2019

James Darrell Shepherd, age 69, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Springdale. He was born on February 5, 1950, in Springdale, Arkansas, to James “Jim” and Bertha (Mounce) Shepherd. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Terri Shepherd; and three brothers, Troy Shepherd, Virgil Shepherd, and Preston Shepherd. James was a devoted member of Forum Community Church in Forum, Arkansas. He raised hogs for Tyson as well as many years invested in a career of truck driving. First and foremost, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his three children, Jimmy Shepherd and wife Emily of Springdale, John Shepherd and wife Brandy of Coal Hill, and Dawn Trout and husband David of Clarksville; one brother, Leslie Shepherd; three sisters, Thelma Smith, Lois Harvey, and Donna Todd; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00pm on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
