Obituary of Henry Joseph Sylvestri Henry Joseph Sylvestri March 30, 1923 – April 23, 2019 Town of Cortlandt, NY Henry Joseph Sylvestri, 96, of Fort Montgomery, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Born on March 30, 1923, he was the son of the late Donato and Jenny Fasciano Sylvestri. Henry, a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Fort Montgomery was an independent insurance agent for Henry J. Sylvestri Insurance and Real Estate. He was a proud member of the Merchant Marines, and a veteran of World War II. Henry was also a committeeman for the Lions Club of Highland Falls, and served on the board of directors for Marine Midland and for Highland Falls Federal Savings & Loan. Survivors include his three daughters, Susan (Milton) Lawney of Colonie, NY; Jane S. Oswald of Fort Montgomery, NY; and Gloria (Jerry) Edelen of Carmel, CA. He is also survived by his sister, Joan (Booth) Mattson of Saratoga, NY, as well as 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3rd at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Fort Montgomery. Interment will follow at Eagle Valley Cemetery in the Town of Highlands, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Falls Public Library Children’s Space, 298 Main Street, Highland Falls, NY 10928. Arrangements are by William F.
