E. Elaine Howell, age 87, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, a patient of the Geisinger Hospice at Maria Hall in Danville. Elaine was a resident of her home in Montour Twp. for over 50 years. She was born on Sunday, August 2, 1931 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Charles Taylor and Catherine (Shultz) Monahan. Throughout her younger years, Elaine attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1949. On March 20, 1949, Elaine married her loving husband, John Delos Howell. Elaine and her husband were Co Owners of Howell’s TV, Appliance & Home Furnishings. She was a member of the Emanuel Dutch Hill Bible Church, Bloomsburg. Elaine enjoyed spending her time golfing, boating, shopping as well as international traveling with her husband. Survivors include her beloved husband of 70 years, John Delos Howell at home, a daughter, Lee Ann wife of Fred DiMaio of Avondale, PA, a son, Steven J. Howell and wife Kimberli of Bloomsburg, three grandchildren, Bianca DiMaio and husband James Goerke of Philadelphia, Andrew DiMaio of Avondale, PA, Justin Howell of Bloomsburg, a brother, David Taylor and wife Sandra of Colorado Springs, CO, and a stepsister Joyce Wolfe. A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Emanuel Dutch Hill Bible Church, 592 Dutch Hill Road, Bloomsburg. Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Emanuel Dutch Hill Bible Church with Rev. George Zerbe, officiating.
