Bonnie Alma Phillips, age 69, of Madison, Tennessee, died Thursday, April 11th, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o’clock pm, Monday, April 15th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Corey Minter officiating. Burial will follow at EverRest Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6:00PM and again on Monday from 11:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM. Bonnie was born on February 8, 1950 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Marvis and Margaret Fort Read. She was retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Labor and she was a Christian. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Phillips; brother, Bobby Read; step-son, Pat Phillips; step-daughter, Brenda Boone; and niece, Britnee Richards. Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Margaret (Jerry) Gardner; step-daughter, Linda Phillips; brothers, Dick (Judy) Read and Dale Read; sisters, Doye Lynn (Bart) Moores, Susie Dillon, Mary Jean “Pete” (Herb) Bunch, Cindy Read, and Jerri Holland; eight grandchildren; many great- grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
