Alberto Martinez Gonzalez, 78, of Wauchula, died at AdventHealth in Sebring on Monday, April 29, 2019. He was born in Chalchi Huites, Zacatecas, Mexico on June 22, 1940. Alberto moved to Hardee County from Mexico in 1972. He was a crew leader in the citrus industry and was a Catholic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamella J. Gonzalez, and a son, Joey E. Gonzalez. Survivors are two sons, Roberto Gonzalez (Samantha) of Bowling Green, and Juan Tomas Gonzalez of South Carolina; three daughters, Yolanda Gonzalez of Bowling Green, Dora Batis of Orlando, and Felicia Gonzalez of Orlando; one brother, Rafael Gonzalez of Mexico; two sisters, Luisa Castanon of Fort Green, and Concepcion Padilla of Texas; 15 grandchildren, Jose Gonzalez, Sydney Palacio, Robert E. Gonzalez, Paul Jeffrey Gonzalez, Nicole Hurt, Myah Gonzalez, Michael Garcia, Mark Garcia, Joey Gonzalez, Justin Gonzalez, Jessica Gonzalez, Manix Batis, DeMariana Gonzalez, DeMario Gonzalez, and Destiny Gonzalez Carpenter; and ten great-grandchildren.
