Joseph P.’s Obituary Joseph P. “Joey” Evangelista, 59, a long time Worcester business owner died unexpectedly at home on Friday March 29, 2019. Joseph is survived by his wife of 10 years whom he dated for 10 years before getting married Ladijane M. (DaSilva) Evangelista, a son Rodrigo Deoliveira of Paxton, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joey was born in Worcester son of the late Lawrence L. and Angela “Angie” (D’Errico) Evangelista and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Holy Name High School, and Assumption College where he received his Bachelors Degree in business. He also attended the Cambridge Culinary School. Joey was an owner and operator of D’Errico’s Market on East Central St. for 36 years before he sold the company to Rodrigo. Joey was a long time member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann. He loved going to the Beaches of Florida, and he enjoyed walking his dog around the neighborhood. Being a very social person he loved working at the Market where he made many lifelong friends.
