John Jack Monaghan 1936 2019

Obituary of John Monaghan John “Jack” Monaghan, age 82 of Glenolden, PA, died on March 9, 2019 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital. Born in Philadelphia and raised in the Overbrook section of West Philadelphia, he resided for the past 19 years in Glenolden, previously residing in Upper Darby, PA. Jack worked in the Radiology Department at Bryn Mawr Hospital retiring in 1994, he graduated from Overbrook High School class of 1954 and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He is a former member of St. Cyrils Catholic Church, past member of the Overbrook Lions Club and the Overbrook Club in West Philadelphia. He enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and watching all sports. In his earlier years Jack enjoyed golfing and playing softball. Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria DiCristino Monaghan who passed in 2013, step son, Robert “Roger” Laub who passed in 2009, son in law, Nick D’Adamo Sr. who passed in 2008, foster sister, Rita DiGian and cherished granddaughter, Lia D’Adamo. He is survived by his step daughter, Lisa D’Adamo, foster sister, Helen Langley, grandson, Nicholas (Emily) D’Adamo Jr. and great granddaughters Charlotte D’Adamo and Elizabeth Lia and extended family and friends. Funeral services and interment are private. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at (www.stjude.org).
