Jeremy’s Obituary Brookins – Jeremy A. Brookins, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, was born May 13, 1988 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the youngest of three sons born to Veronica Dixon and Larry Brookins. Jeremy was a high school graduate and had attended classes to be a welder. He enjoyed music, travel and bring a smile to the faces of everyone he met. He had a goofy sense of humor. It was very hard for anyone to not like “Jay”. He was extremely loyal to those he cared about, very caring and generous to those in need. A beautiful life of 30 years ended on March 10, 2019. Jeremy is survived by a devoted family that includes father: Larry Brookins Sr.; mother: Veronica Dixon; children: Jada Brookins, Jalayaa Brookins, Charlei Brookins; brothers: Michael E. Gilbert, Larry Brookins Jr; life long friend: Andrea Grant; close friend: Zacaria Shaw; girlfriend: Betty Colson; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Brookins may be viewed Friday, March 15, 2019 at Carthage Chapel from 3:00p.m. Until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Philipian Community Church, 7578 New Kings Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32219 and the interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
