Harold W. Thomas, 84, passed away Monday evening, March 25, 2019 at The University of Kentucky Bluegrass Hospice Center in Lexington. He was born on November 28, 1934 in Madison County, the son of the late Aaron Sr. and Georgia Hurt Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a businessman and was the owner of Richmond Scrap Iron and Metal in Richmond. When he wasn’t working, he loved fishing, gardening and enjoyed going to Keeneland Race Course in Lexington for the horse races. Survivors include his three children: Dwayne Thomas, Elaine Davis (Tommy) and Elroy Thomas (Donna); his dear friend and companion: Dorothy; two brothers: Billy Thomas (Betsy), Aaron Thomas Jr. (Judy); one sister: Betty Lou Turpin; four grandchildren: Branden Davis (Brittany), Joshua Davis (Olivia), Jessica Grant (Matt) and Tressa Thomas; four great-grandchildren: Hunter Grant, Tate Grant, Davis Grant and Dovey Davis as well as several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition he leaves behind his two canine companions: Brewster and Tootie He was preceded in death by five brothers: David, Paul, J.C. , Cecil and Charles Thomas as well as his parents. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Flatwoods Cemetery at Waco, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are: Robert Thomas, Branden Davis, Joshua Davis, Matt Grant, Hunter Grant and Rick Neal. Honorary Pallbearers are: Kenneth Barger, George Barger, Orville Webb, Scott Thomas, Preston Jones ad Al Howard.
