Edward Lewis Gripper October 21, 1947 – March 13, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Edward Lewis Gripper, 71, of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Oakland, PA. He was born October 21, 1947 at Pine Bluff, a son of the late Paul Gripper and Colleen Alfreda Tate Gripper. Edward was employed by Consol as a mine foreman at the Loveridge Mine. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in Vietnam. He loved to hunt, restore cars, reload ammo, and distance shooting. Survivors include his wife: Sheila Gripper, whom he married October 21, 2001; his son: Eddie (Vicki) Gripper of Mannington; stepchildren: Aundriea Sharp of PA and Greg Sharp of Farmington; his grandchildren: Logan, Eli, and Sophia Gripper, Hunter and Hayley Higgins, and Tiarra Sharp; sisters: Mary Lou Cupp of Mannington and Paulette Winnings of NC; a brother: Paul Gripper of Mannington and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no public visitation or service. Cremation services are entrusted to the Hutson Funeral Home in Mannington.
