Constance Beals Whitley of Hertford, North Carolina August 2, 1951 – March 28, 2019 Constance Beals Whitley, 67, of 194 Woodland Church Road, Hertford, NC, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019, in her home. Mrs. Whitley was born in Pasquotank County on August 2, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Ervin R. and Kathryn Parker Beals. Employed for many years as a child nutritionist with Perquimans County schools, she had also formerly been active with the South Norfolk Fire & Rescue Squad, Station 2, as both a training officer and cardiac technician. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Stone, Doris Warden and Brenda Cannon, and by a brother, Woodrow Beals. Surviving are four daughters, Kimberly W. Jordan and husband, Randy Hogge, of W. Melbourne, FL, Michelle D. Whitley of Dunedin, FL, Wendy W. Leighton and husband, Phillip, of Hertford, and Casandra L. Hamden and husband, Bob, of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, Robert Beals of New Mexico and Michael D. Beals of Texas; and eight grandchildren, Connor and Maitlin Jordan, Cody and Logan Hogge, Joseph Whitley, John Hughes V, Jolee Leighton, and Robert Hamden. A memorial service will be held at the residence at a later date.
