He was born August 14, 1960 in Glendale, a son of Charles Kernan, Sr. of Proctor and the late Edith Velma Siburt Kernan. Charles graduated from John Marshall High School. He had been employed by Health South in Morgantown as an Environmental Service Aide. He loved four wheelers, fishing, boating, to tinker, and was a gun enthusiast. In addition to his father, Charles is survived by his sons: Robert (Tasha) Kernan of Farmington, Charles (Lindsey) Kernan of Rivesville, Ryan Kernan of Grafton, Randall Loy of Mon County; a daughter: Alexa Kernan of Moundsville; a sister: Lila (Jimmy) Wilson of Baxter; grandchildren: Summra and Keyara Kernan, Timothy Loy, Adrianna, Colten, and Havynn Kernan. In addition to his mother, Charles was preceded in death by his sisters: Gloria Sue Anderson and Gail Boyer. There will be no public visitation or services.
