Dateline Jasper, Indiana Bernardine C. Schepers, age 91, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 2:09 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019, at home. Bernardine was born in Jasper, Indiana, on July 20, 1927, to Joseph and Otilla (Kunz) Gramelspacher. She married Linus G. Schepers on March 30, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1996. Bernardine was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and the American Legion and V.F.W. Auxiliaries. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino, especially Las Vegas, and going to Indianapolis to spend time with her grandchildren. Surviving are five daughters, Barbara (Steve) Goeppner, Huntingburg, IN, Rebecca Schepers, Jasper, IN, Grace (Kenny) Wagner, Dale, IN, Mary (Pat) Bradley, Jasper, IN, Rhonda Schepers, Jasper, IN, five sons, Donald (Marilyn) Schepers, Jasper, IN, Thomas (Sandy) Schepers, Otwell, IN, Vic (Becky) Schepers, Holland, IN, Ed Schepers, Jasper, IN, nine grandchildren, Jennifer Bailey, Daniel Schepers, Jeremy Stafford, Holly Stafford, Tonya Schepers, Ethan Schepers, Bryor Schepers, Kirby Schepers, Marissa Bradley, and six great granchildren. Preceding her in death besides her husband are two sons, Ronald and Daniel Schepers, one grandson, Garet Schepers, one sister, and six brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernardine C. Schepers will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. A visitation will be held from noon until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.
