Alfred “Al” Lee Cathcart, 90 of Bella Vista, AR passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 in Bentonville, AR. He was born December 4, 1928 in Scottsburg, IN to Alfred and Bertha (Nicholas) Cathcart. Mr. Cathcart was a pilot in the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and retired from FAA at Drake Field in Fayetteville. He was also a 32 Degree Mason, and former member and elder of the Fayetteville First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ.) He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Lucile (Royse) Cathcart, one daughter, Janet Lee Nutt and husband Ken of Springdale, AR, two sons, Larry Alan Cathcart of Ft. Worth, TX, Garry Dean Cathcart of Bella Vista, AR, one sister, Evelyn Darin of Austin, IN, five grandchildren, Michael Cathcart, Steven Cathcart, Brian Nutt, Nancy Weeston, Sarah Crockett, and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10th from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A Graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, March 11th at Fayetteville National Cemetery with Reverend James D. Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Regional National Cemetery Improvement Corp P.O. Box 4221 Fayetteville, AR 72702.
