Rita Brown Skiver of Indianapolis Indiana June 5 1955 February 18 2019

Rita Brown Skiver, 63, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on February 18, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born June 5, 1955 in Albany, Kentucky to Cecil and Izora (Lawson) Brown. She was a 1973 graduate of Delta High School and attended Ball State University. Rita was a legal secretary at various law offices in the Indianapolis area for over 30 years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and spoiling her many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Skiver; brothers Gaylon M. (Mary) Brown of Ridgeville, IN, Ernie L. (Sharon) Brown of Redkey, IN, Floyd E. (Jody) Brown of Redkey, IN, William M. (Jazmin) of Fairmount, IN, Cecil J. (Susan) Brown of West Milton, OH and sister Celynda (Brian Pete) Roach of Boise ID. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Lonnie R. Brown, Larry R. Brown, Randell D. Brown and first husband Robert S. Bordenkircher. Visitation will be held at Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel on February 21, 2019 from 5-8pm. An additional Visitation and service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2018 from 11:30a-1:00pm with Service at 1:00pm at Garden View Funeral Home in Muncie, Indiana. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory cemetery.
