Rocky Mount, North Carolina

David Cherry, age 71, departed this earthly life on Thursday, Febuary 21, 2019. He was born September 7, 1947 in Edgecombe County, NC to the late Frank W. Cherry and Caroline Brown.  

He leaves to cherish his memories: his fiance'; Shelia Hilliard of Rocky Mount, NC, two sons; Jamal D. Willis of Angier, NC, Jared D. Cherry of Rocky Mount, NC, one daughter; Fatimah Jones of Rocky Mount, NC, one sister; Erma C. Lucas of Tarboro, NC, six grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at East End Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, NC with Reverend Mack Battle officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Garden.

A viewing will be held one hour prior to service (1:00-2:00 PM) at the church.
