Funeral service for Norman Roberts, 73, will be Monday, February 25, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Ryan Wilburn and Jack Harris officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mr. Roberts died on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born January 7, 1946, in Lawrence County to Julius Nathan Roberts and Closie Lena Borden. He was a U.S. Army Veteran at the rank of Sargeant. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, riding bikes and enjoying a good card game. He loved being with his family and friends and loved his kitty-cat. He would say that Zoey and Fran were his first thought in the morning and his last thought at night. You could always find him at the tailgate. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Clifton Roberts, Wayne Roberts and JN Roberts, four sisters: Jeanette Martin, Dorthy Mitchelle, Katie Allen and Pat Ray. Survivors include : his Wife: Mattie Frances (Colburn) Roberts Two Sons: Lonnie Wilburn and Ryan Wilburn One Daughter: Zoey Rayne Wilburn One Sister: Donna Bailey Pallbearers will be Tony Martin, Chris Bailey, Kenneth Borden, Hoyt Wayne Borden, Mitchell Roberts and Justin Roberts.
