Marjorie A Vallimont March 29 1941 – February 15 2019

Obituary for Marjorie A. Vallimont Print Marjorie A. Vallimont, 77, of Erie, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Erie, on March 29, 1941, the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Eleanor C. Valimont Vallimont. Marjorie received her high school and college education through the Missions Sisters of the Holy Spirit in Techny, IL and taught many years in the south. Prior to her return to Erie, she adopted her daughter, Betty Jo in 1975, whom she loved dearly. Upon her return to Erie, she taught at various schools including St. Boniface. After retiring she would continue to volunteer. Marjorie was a member of St. Boniface Church where she was a member of the choir and the lecturing committee. She enjoyed reading, working with children, volunteering, babysitting, and teaching. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Patricia Vallimont in infancy and Catherine Zapolski; her two brothers, Walter and Raymond Vallimont; and her sister-in-law, Jeanne Vallimont. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jo Vallimont; her grandson, Samuel Vallimont; her six sisters, Sr. Judith Vallimont, S. Sp. S., Sr. Laura (Dolores) Vallimont, OSB, Joyce Silkworth, Elizabeth (Gerard) Mentz, Geraldine (Leon, Sr.) Stancliff, and Janice (Paul) Zawadzki; seven brothers, Donald (Sarah) Vallimont, Paul (Joyce) Vallimont, Robert (Lisa) Vallimont, Patrick Vallimont, Edward (Kathy) Vallimont, Phil (Joan) Vallimont, and Mark Vallimont; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and the following morning from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Church.
