Margaret’s Obituary Mrs. Margaret Lucille Prevatte Bruce, age 81, of Lumberton, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019. She was born on February 2, 1938, in Robeson County to the late Lewis Milton Prevatte and the late Alma Arnette Prevatte. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Harold Bruce, and three brothers: Lewis Prevatte, Carl Prevatte, and Bobby Prevatte. She is survived by three sons: Darrell Bruce (Heidi), Kim Bruce (Rhonda), and Eric Bruce (Traci), all of Lumberton; two daughters, Joy Lynn Burney and Lorri Bruce (Jonathan), both of Lumberton; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Prevatte of Norfolk, VA and Harold Ray Prevatte of Lumberton; and one sister, Betty Jean Stone (Leo) of Lumberton. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, February 28, 2019, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM in the chapel with Rev. Johnny Bruce officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton. Read More
