Josephine Ann Billick, 83, of Bristow passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019, in Haymarket after a brief illness. Josephine was born and raised in Crucible, Pennsylvania where she and her husband Paul (Butch) played together as children and eventually fell in love. While Butch served in the Air Force, Josephine was employed at the Pentagon as a telephone operator. After Butch was discharged, they married in January of 1959 and moved to Jamestown, New York. In 1962, they relocated to Falls Church, Virginia where they raised their sons. They moved to Bristow in 2004 and were members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Josephine was a woman of great faith who prayed the rosary daily. She enjoyed keeping in touch with family and friends on Facebook, shopping, reading, bingo and playing the slots at the casino and on her iPad. She cherished time spent with her family – especially her grandchildren — and her friends, of which she had many. Survivors include a son, Paul Joseph “Butch” Billick and his wife Michele, grandchildren Joseph Michael Billick and his wife Tamara, Dalton John Billick, Madisyn Nicole Billick, Zachary Robert Billick and a great granddaughter, Alaya Monae Billick. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Paul (Butch) Billick and her son, Joseph Edward Billick. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 15, at Pierce Funeral Home. A Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, followed by food and fellowship. Inturnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
