James LLoyd Russell May 26 1961 February 25 2019

James Lloyd “Jim” Russell, 57, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 2:51 P.M. Monday February 25, 2019 in Gilman, IL. He was born May 26, 1961, in Danville, IL, the son of Omer J. and M. Joan (Williams) Russell. He is survived by his mother, M. Joan Russell; two sons, Jonathan David Russell and James Callahan Russell; and one grandson, Asher James Russell. He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Clyde and Mabel Russell. While attending Hoopeston East Lynn High School, Jim was a member of the National Honor Society. He was a truck driver and seasonal farm help for Sandy Herman and Mark Layden Farms. He enjoyed tinkering around with his Jeep, spending time with his good friend, Rusty, at Foster’s Produce, and liked gardening. Jim especially loved his grandson, Asher. A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Saturday March 2, 2019 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor John Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
