Elsie Mae Martin September 9 1933 December 3 2018

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Elsie Mae Martin. She was 85 years old. Elsie was born to parents John and Mary Silveria in French Camp, California on September 9, 1933. She was the middle child of three sisters. After graduating from Manteca High School, the family moved to Dos Palos, California in 1951. Once in Dos Palos, she worked at Olds Photography Studio. During that time is when she met her future husband Manuel Martin at a local dance. They have been dancing for the past 63 years. Elsie was an avid baker at Christmas time; she would spend hours upon hours preparing her trays of baked goods to deliver to friends and family. She treasured her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She will be forever remembered by her husband Manuel, sisters Eleanor and Illene, daughter Janine, and grandchildren Kelsie and Cole. The Rosary will be recited at 11 am on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church followed by the Funeral Mass 11:30. Burial will be in the Dos Palos Cemetery District in Dos Palos, CA. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Dos Palos. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 550 W.
