Obituary of David Barrett David P. Barrett Clarksville, MI Age 81, our loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away February 27, 2019. Born May 30, 1937 in Millett, MI. He retired from Fisher-Body after 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and member of the Jackson-Mutschler V.F.W. Post #4461 of Lake Odessa, and past chairman of the bingo. He enjoyed archery, bingo, and gardening, which often had at the local farmer’s market. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Betty J. (Archer) Barrett; daughters, Rita K. (Donald) Rittersdorf, and Susan B. (Gregg) Drew; 7 grandchildren, Danielle Rittersdorf, Jayson Rittersdorf, Kayla Drew, Samantha Drew, Benjamin Drew, Rebecca Drew, and Jennifer Drew; and 1 great-grandson, Finn; sister, Cecelia Still; brother, Gerald “Jackson” Barrett; sister-in-law, Sharon Barrett; brother-in-law, Ray Rice; and many other family members and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, Harry B. and Agnes B. Barrett; sister, Lucy Rice; and brothers, Harry and Melvin. Graveside services will be 12:30 P.M. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444 West Grand River, Lansing, MI 48906. Contributions in memory of David may be made to V.F.W. Post #4461 or the Alzheimer Association.
