  2. I never really knew Aydin. But from others, what I gathered is that he is a loving, generous, sweet, dorky kinda guy that can make anyone laugh. I tried to become friends with him, considering the fact that his girlfriend was my best friend. But it never really worked out. My heart goes out to his family and all the people who knew him. I don’t think I’m ever going to get through this, knowing that there was someone who I knew that was struggling, and I couldn’t see it. He was so sweet. I’m always going to remember 2/14/19. I’ll forever remember Aydin Phillips, as painful as it is, I can never forget. Rest in peace.

  3. I have no words to describe how I feel about the loss of Aydin. I am a substitute teacher in his school and have had him in class many times. He was a terrific student, friend, and all round nice young man in all the contacts that I had with him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Even though his life was shorter than we would like for it to have been, he made a difference and will be remembered. Wishing you peace.

  4. Aydin was a very nice kid in my social studies class and would always brighten up the room. Even tho, he isn’t here with us physically, he’ll always be with us here mentally in our heads. Rip Aydin. I hope you’re doing well up there and I’ll always remember you.

  5. My daughter Zoe, was friends with Aydin. She is devastated. There are no words that can heal a hurt like this. I am so sorry for Aydin’s family. Zoe talked about him often, how funny he was, how sweet and how smart he was. He will be missed by many. Rest in peace Aydin.
    Sincerely,
    Kimberly, Zoe, and Gillian Trent

  6. 3 months later, to the day, I’m still completely devastated. I will never forget Aydin. He was one of my best friends and I wish I had done more for him when I could. Days often feel dull without him. People have already told me they forgot about the loss our school suffered, but I know for a fact that I never will. I actually had a dream about him last night, unknowingly foreshadowing my realization of this anniversary. I wish I could see him one last time, and my sympathies go out to his family and other friends.
