Juan Manuel Martinez, Jr., 51, of Lubbock, Texas passed away March 24, 2023. He was born August 8, 1971 in Wautoma, Wisconsin to Juan Martinez, Sr. and Maria Martinez. Juan served in the United States Marine Corps. While serving, he was a Firefighter and EMT. He received the following recognition; National Defense Service Medal, SEA Service Deployment Ribbon, Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol Marksman Badge; Letter of Appreciation. He was a commercial painter. Juan was an avid Packer fan, he loved music, history, and nature. The simple things in life, he cherished. Left to cherish his memory include his mother, Maria Martinez; son, Xavier Martinez; daughter, Xandria Martinez; sister, Gracie (Adrian) Biera; grandchildren, Zadrian, Zayli, and Xander Martinez; nephew, Joe (Jessica) Cruz; niece, Izzabella Davila; great neices & nephew, Ayvalei, Xaryn Cruz, and Mariposa Aguilar; & Godson, Isaias Castillo. Juan was preceded in death by his father, Juan Martinez Sr, brother, Javier Martinez, Grandparents, Maximo & Petra Martinez of Crystal City, TX, and Rodolfo & Consuelo Cruz of Asherton,TX. Family visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Home Monday, March 27, 2023, 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Rosary Services will be 7:00 PM in Sanders Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1120 52nd Street, Lubbock, TX with Father Martin Pina officiating.
