OBITUARY Yonas Tegegne March 25, 1961 – January 6, 2019 Play Tribute Movie Yonas Tegegne was born on the 25th of March 1961 in Asmara the capital of Eritrea. He received his elementary and high school education in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He completed his formative years of college at Addis Ababa University, and then went to the Soviet Union on a scholarship to complete his higher education. After a year stay in the Soviet Union, he went to Athens, Greece to reunite with his then girlfriend, but soon to be future wife Tibebe Hailu. In 1989 they relocated to Boston, Massachusetts. They have been married for 32 years, and have two wonderful children, Bethel and Mathias. They matriculated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2000. Yonas has been employed with many companies serving in many different capacities such as NCR Corporation, DeKalb County Government, Emory University, Delta Airlines, RE/Max Real Estate and State Street Bank. Yonas was a loving and humble husband, and father; a quintessential brother, and friend to all individuals that crossed his life’s path. He was a very loyal, dedicated, and active member of his community. Yonas was only 57, but he accomplished so much and meant so much to many.
