Daniels, Jr. Passed away January 14 in Sumner at the age of 94. He was born in Craig, CO and moved to Puyallup in the late 1930s.His parents, two sisters and two brothers predeceased him as did his wife Phyllis Daniels who blessed his life with 61 years of marriage. Together they had five children, William Daniels III, Herbert Daniels, Sandra Silva, Judith Hines and Deborah Corliss. During WWII Bill served as a Navy Corpsman aboard the USS President Hayes. Afterwards he had jobs in sales with John Hancock and Sherwin Williams until he opened Daniels Lumber and Hardware in Bonney Lake in 1960, establishing Lakes Electric several years later. During these years he served in the leadership of three churches in Pierce County and on the Bonney Lake City Council. Viewing will be Wednesday 5-8 PM at Curnow Funeral Home, Sumner, with a celebration of Bill’s life Thursday at 10 AM at the Lake Tapps Community Church.
