Obituary for Waunita Henry Hodges Waunita “Nita” Henry Hodges, 94, a native of Duncan, Oklahoma and long-time resident of Houma, passed away on January 2, 2019. As per her wishes a private memorial service was held. She is survived by her son, Ray L. Hodges and wife Annette; grandchildren, Jacob Hodges, Jeremy Hodges, Angela Scott, and Taylor “T.J.” Hodges, their spouses and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Hodges; parents, Ray and Irene Wolf Henry; brother, Robert Henry; sisters, Edna-Ruth McCarthy and Linda Garcia. She was an avid artist her whole life and was a founding member of the Terrebonne Parish Art Guild. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, waterfalls and she loved her dogs. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park is in charge of arrangements.
