Virginia K. (Keller) Lesko, passed away January 29, 2019, at Berkshire Commons at the age of 93. Her husband, Paul D. Lesko died on January 19, 1995. Born on March 27, 1925 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Lulu S. (Koch) Keller. As valedictorian of 1942, class of West Reading High School, she was a member of the basketball, track and swimming team. She also sang in the chorus and was a member of the Reading Choral Society. She attended West Chester State Teachers College for three years then later transferred and graduated from the University of Houston where she taught for four years. After moving back to Pennsylvania, she worked for the Governor Mifflin School District as a Reading Specialist teacher for 26 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. James Church, West Reading where she served on the choir for several years. Virginia had many craft hobbies especially counted cross-stitch. She also enjoyed spending time boating on the Upper Chesapeake Bay and traveling with her husband. She is survived by two precious daughters, Susan Heck and Linda Wickman; four loving grandchildren, Derek, Jennifer, Christopher and Kimberly and seven loving great-grandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by four brothers, Lewis, Robert, Russell and Richard Keller. Honoring Virginia’s wishes burial will be private.
