Violet Shelton Voyles of Salem, Missouri passed away November 29, 2018 at the age of 101. She was born November 28, 1917 in Rector, Missouri to the late John and Minnie (Brown) Wallace. Violet loved spending time with her family making special memories. She loved animals, watching and feeding the birds, listening to music and square dancing. She took great pride in being a seamstress. She had great faith and attended the Second Baptist Church in Salem. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Violet is survived by her grandchildren, Terry Morton Jansen, Angie Shelton Glenn, Marshall Morton and wife Missy, Davy Shelton; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Shelton; a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded by her parents, John and Minnie; husband Vane Voyles; daughter, Linda Shelton Morton; son, David Shelton; brothers, Johnny Wallace, Bob Wallace, Bill Waalace; sisters, Zoe Wallace Heck, Golda Wallace Havens. Graveside Services foe Violet Shelton Voyles will be held 2:00PM Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Shannondale, Missouri with Pastor Larry Nash officiating. Memorials are suggested to the St. James Animal Shelter. Cards are available at all James & Gahr locations.
