Ms. Angela LaGail Williams was born September 17, 1958 to the late, Howard Williams, Sr. and Ethel Mae Rivelles Williams in West Point, Georgia.

 

“Granny” as she was affectionately known, accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. W. T. Edmondson, where she was a faithful member until her passing.

 

She was a 1976 graduate of West Point High School.

 

Granny found joy in spending time with her grandchildren and showering them with gifts, hugs, and kisses. She loved shopping. She was an immaculate dresser, and would be flawless from head to toe. When she was not shopping, she enjoyed watching her favorite television shows, “Judge Judy”, “In the Heat of the Night”, and “Cops”.

 

On Saturday, January 26, 2019, our beloved Angela passed away at East Alabama Medical Center – Lanier in Valley, Alabama. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Bertha Johnson; nephews, John Hicks and Christopher Hicks, Sr.; and aunt, Gloria Reed.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving companion, Mr. Edmond Turner, Sr.; a devoted son, LaFranco (Miracle) Williams; a caring daughter, Shaniqua Huguley; two stepsons:  Edmond Turner, Jr. and Patrick Turner; granddaughters, Madyson Williams and Aaliyah Alexander; grandsons:  Lawson Williams, D’mario Brydie, Jaydon Meadows, and Deonte’ Scott; four sisters:  Virginia Walker, Deborah (Freddie) Johnson, Mary Patillo, Wanda (Daniel) Williams; three brothers:  Howard (Aurelia) Williams, Jr., Robert (Lee) Williams, Harold Gilliam; special niece, Turkeesa Walker; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

 

 

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Dr. W. T. Edmondson will officiate. Interment will follow at Marseilles Cemetery.

 

 

The family will be at her home at 1407 5th Avenue, West Point; and at the home of her son, LaFranco Williams at 110 Hawthorne Circle, LaGrange.
