OBITUARY Pamela D Rice November 18, 1946 – January 20, 2019 On Sunday, January 20th Pamela Diane Rice passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Wayne T Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, South Carolina. She was 72 years old. Pamela was born on November 18, 1946 to Margaret and Bill W. Rice. She was raised and continued to live in Charlotte, NC. Pamela loved her family and she helped bind the family together with her frequent calls keeping us up to date on what everyone else in the family was up to. She loved NASCAR, Clemson football and the Carolina Panthers and kept us informed so we did not miss an opportunity to watch. A very good friend described her well saying “Pamela cared about others. She was genuine, funny, and had such a great personality. Regardless of how she was feeling, she showed her spirit and pressed on.” We know she is in God’s hands and will suffer no more. We are all blessed for having had her in our lives. Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Bill W. Rice, her mother, Margaret Chandler Rice, and her oldest brother Jim Rice. Pamela is survived by her brothers Jerry Rice and Don Rice and his wife Beth, her four nieces and nephews, Laura and Bryan Froning, Anna Rice, John Rice, and Leslie and Jason DeKoster; four great nieces and nephews, Michael Froning, Emmie Froning, Lilly Froning, and Andrew DeKoster. She is also loved and remembered by Vicki Nicholson, Cheryl Price, and Debbie Stocker.
