OBITUARY Opal M. Kindelsperger April 23, 1924 – January 22, 2019 Opal M. Kindelsperger, 94, of Davenport, IA passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her home. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service. Burial will take place at a later date at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be left to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Opal was born April 23, 1924 in Exline, IA to William and Rose (Exline) Germann. She was united in marriage to John Leek in 1944. He preceded her in death in 1967. She later married Leonard Kindelsperger in 1972. He preceded her in death. Opal worked as a respiratory therapist for St. Lukes Hospital. She retired in 1980. She was so proud of this career. Opal was an avid reader. She would read her Bible daily. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were very important to her. Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Marvin) Petre, grandchildren, Steven (Kelly) Petre and John Petre; great grandchildren, Shane, Andrea, Sarah, Alyssa, Haley, Bridget and Secily; great great grandchildren, Kolton and Sofia and two brothers, Charles Germann and Wesley Germann.
