Obituary of Mary Rinus Mary E. Rinus January 29, 2019 Mary E. Rinus, 94, formally of Luzerne, passed away on Tuesday at Wesley Village, Pittston, PA Born in Irishtown, Plains Twp., she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Jowanna Druchala. She was a graduate of Plains High School, class of 1942. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by West Side Tech, as a cook and teacher aide. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. She was preceded in death by son, William Rinus and sister, Anna Mushinsky She is survived by children, Arline Matkins and husband Edward, Laflin; Walter Rinus and wife Barbara, Quakertown; Richard Rinus and wife Gloriann, Kingston; Eileen Butchko and husband David, Centreville, VA.; grandchildren, Michele, Melissa, Stacey, Lisa, Gail, Richard, Gina, Christina, Alison; great grandchildren, Madison, Alex, Tyler, Kayla, Abigail, Megan, Marcus, Ethan, Aubrianna, Brett, Addison, Brooke, Gabriel, Braeleigh. Sisters, Margie Davis, Sellersville; brothers, Michael Druchala, Sellersville; John Druchala, Georgia. Funeral will be on Saturday at 9:30 am from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with Rev Walter Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Annunciation Cemetery. Pringle. Calling hours for Family and friend will be on Friday from 6-9 pm at the funeral home.
