Mary Ruth Brown Hill was born October 20, 1928 in Lakeland, FL to Charlie Brown and Cassie Tarver. She attended and graduated from Washington Park High School and later Graduated from Florida Normal College. She was a committed member at Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Institutional Church under the pastorate of Dr. N.S. Sanders.
