Lynn’s Obituary Edward Lynn Carlton, 71, husband of 30 years to Rachael Collins Carlton, passed away January 25, 2019 in Okeechobee, FL. Born June 8, 1947 in Frankfort, KY, Lynn was the son of the late John Willie Carlton and Marjorie Jeffries Carlton. Along with his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by a brother, William Bert Carlton, and two sisters, Twyla Rose Trisler and Jean Spencer. Lynn retired following 32 year of service with Wild Turkey Distillery. He served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during two tours in Vietnam. Lynn was a recipient of The Purple Heart. He served a term as a Lawrenceburg City Councilman and was a member of the Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church and the V.F.W. Post #9528 in Okeechobee, FL. Including with his wife, Lynn is survived by two step-sons, David Wayne (wife Lori) Hawkins and Tony Hawkins, both of Lawrenceburg; five step-grandchildren, Caleb Boone, Tyler Hawkins, Cory Hawkins, Katie Hawkins, and Mary Ann (Adam) Freeman; three step great grandchildren, Andy Hawkins, Abrianna Davis, and Emma Freeman; and a sister, Judy (husband David) Bailey of Frankfort. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2nd beginning at 10:30 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Eaton officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
