OBITUARY Leon May Passed away on January 25, 2019 Preceded in death by his parents Mortimer May, Gertrude Bloch May, (sister) Reba May Blum, (wife of 65 years) Mimsye Seiden May. Survived by: Melanie May Hirt (Doug), Jacob May, Frank May (Diane),Deborah May Wolfman(Neil), 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Lifelong Nashvillian, he attended Peabody Demonstration. He graduated from Vanderbilt University. He served in the Navy in WWII. Married Mimsye Seiden in 1949. Lifelong member of The Temple Ohabai Sholom & past president. Executive at May Hosiery Mill and the worked in commercial real estate until retirement. Active in many facets of the Jewish community & lifelong long supporter of Israel and Jewish education. He will be especially missed by the Tuesday Lunch Group, his friends at Thursday Lunch with Rabbi and Saturday Chevrat Torah Group. Honorary pallbearers: Dr. Fred Goldner Jr,Harris gilbert, Dr. Jeff Eskind, Charles Robin, and his grandsons Andrew Hirt, Kenneth Hirt, David May, Avi May, Willie Wolfman,Jonathan May Special thanks to Rose Refegee and Maegan Bowers.
