Kenneth Russell Barnes December 23, 1959 – January 24, 2019 Mr. Kenneth Russell went home to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, January 24, 2019, joining the ranks of those who went before. Ken was a beloved husband, father; grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He leaves behind his loving wife, Brenda; 8 children: Matt(Jessica)Meskimen, Chris (Sheryl), Kenna (Matt) Perry, Colton (Summer) Barnes, Sharon (James) Gray, Bryan (Christie) Clemons; 24 grandchildren: Lincoln, Levi, Maggie, Luke, Shepherd, Danielle, Ashton, Shelby, Scarlett , James, Adam, Savannah ,Chloe , Collin, Hannah, Carson, Abidon , Jordan , Evan, Mason, Lillian , and Twins; 4 siblings: Elizabeth Cooper , Janice Barnes, James Morris, Alice Bollegar; father: Russell Barnes, Jr., and a multitude of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: James and Janice Morris. Ken was born and raised in Central Illinois, but found his happy place in Arcadia, Florida where he met the love of his life, Brenda Mercer. The two of them enjoyed 10 glorious years together building a life on the foundation of trust, faith and love. Ken was a valued employee of the Tremron for 18 years and will be sorely missed by all. Ken was well known as a man of integrity, who was kind and of a gentle spirit. He loved much, gave generously of his time, talent and resources without reserve. Those who knew Ken can attest to his ability to generate fun at any time, in any circumstance. Ken’s life time motto was:” Work hard, Play hard “ May we all embrace that sentiment! We will miss his smile forever. Rest in Peace, dear brother.
