Keith LaMar Wixson, 92, Goshen, died 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 20, 1926 in Wellsboro to Floyd J. and Alma Mary (Martin) Wixson. On December 4, 1948, he married Christena (Musselman) Wixson at Millersburg Evangelical Church and she survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Tresa (John) Gazarkiewicz and Candace “Candi” Spencer, both of Benton, 2 sons, Keith E. (Becky) Wixson, Dunlap, Jeffrey S. Wixson, New Paris, a brother, Paul Wixson, Florida, 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, sons, Randall L. and Paul L. Wixson, brothers, Gail, Kenneth, and George Wixson, sisters, Faye Wixson, Omah Barnett, and Olga Willis, and a son-in-law, John Spencer. Keith served in the US Army during WWII and in the National Guard for several years after being discharged. He was also a member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled Veterans. He was a member of Solomon Creek United Methodist Church and served as a Red Coat at Goshen Hospital. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019 and one hour prior to an 11:00 a.m. service Monday, January 28, 2019 all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Burial will follow at Benton Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may directed to Solomon Creek Church.
